Scholarship & Financial Aid
A. Currently, the open scholarships available for TNU are:
- Tonga Government Scholarships through the Ministry of Education and Training
- Tangi Mei Moana Project – Otago University and Royal NZ Society Fellowship
- Tonga Australia Support Platform (TASP) – Australian High Commission – ongoing students from the SET Project
B. Students should be aware of the Financial Aid available through the Government of Tonga Soft Loan Scheme; the purpose of the fund isfor tuition fees is to help students with their tuition fees. The Loan Scheme is managed through the Tonga Development Bank, with an interest rate of only 1%.
C. Students should regularly check donors’ social media pages as they sometimes announce scholarship and other study opportunities. Check the NZ High Commission page, Australian High Commission, Embassy of the Peoples’ Republic of China, US Embassy, Japanese Embassy and th UK Embassy pages.
